1. Acceptance of terms
Chinese Dialogues is operated by OKAROKU (Rokuta Okanishi, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
2. The service
We provide a Mandarin Chinese learning service: dialogues with pinyin, translations, and audio, plus tools like flashcards and playlists. Some content is free; some requires a Premium subscription.
3. Accounts
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Subscription & billing
Premium is a recurring monthly subscription billed automatically until you cancel. Full pricing, billing, and cancellation details are on our legal disclosure page. If we change the price of an active subscription, we’ll notify you before it takes effect.
5. Content & intellectual property
The dialogues, audio, translations, and other content on this service are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-commercial license to use them for your own language learning. You may not copy, redistribute, scrape, or resell our content.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no attempting to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, scrape it at scale, or use it for anything unlawful.
7. Termination
You can stop using the service and cancel your subscription anytime from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is fully accurate — it’s a learning tool, not a substitute for professional instruction.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above.
